Help! My Partner Has a Sex Addiction!
This course provides information about sexual addiction and its impact on partners of those with such addictions. Course content includes education about sex addiction, common responses of partners when disclosure happens, phases of recovery for partners, tasks for healing, and challenges for partners during each phase of recovery. Recovery is an individual process that can be painful and lonely. This course seeks to educate and let partners of sex addicted individuals know they are not alone in their healing journey and search for making meaning of their partner’s addiction.
Each section contains journal questions, experiential art activities, and/or resources to encourage self-reflection. Additional worksheets for some resources are included for easy printing and completion. Learners are encouraged to keep a journal and participate in the experiential art activities to explore their reactions, emotions, and responses to sex addiction. This course is meant to be completed at the learner’s own pace.
