This is by far the simplest, cheapest and easiest time in history to run a life coaching business. In this modern internet-age you can do without a lot of the hassle and expenses of running a small business that were a definite hurdle in the past for an aspiring entrepreneur.
Established life coaches are gaining substantial financial and personal rewards for their hard work. In this internet age there is also a world of possibilities for life coaches who can develop a strong personal brand and create online content that will either draw in clients or become a source of revenue by themselves. Preferably both.
This means that a modern life coach also needs to understand internet marketing and the role of social media in growing your own life coaching business.
Generally traditional life coaching consists of complimentary consultations followed by regular support sessions. Some of these sessions are face-to-face, but the majority will be via phone, Skype or email.
However, someone looking to build a flourishing and sustainable life coaching business may also find themselves performing minor variations on the core process of life coaching on a one-on-one basis.
For example, you may provide short seminars to groups of people or have shorter one-on-one sessions, but have them with a greater number and variety of clients.
In this start up your own life coach business course, these are exactly the skills you will be learning. After you have completed this course you will be firmly on your way to establishing yourself as a life coach. Ready to get out in the world and make a difference to someone.

The Many Hats of A Professional Life Coach
Here, I define the roles of a life coach and also discuss what makes this profession such an amazing one.
Diversity as a coach, includes complimentary sessions followed by regular support sessions. Some face to face, but many via phone and email. You may also find yourself providing short seminars to groups of people, or maybe having a greater number of one-on-one sessions with various clients. Throughout this course, these are all the skills that you'll be learning.
There is an exercise in the resources section to complement this lecture. So make sure you complete it and see if you have the right attributes that are helpful to the aspiring coach.

Does My Client Need Counselling Rather Than Coaching?
Life coaching and psychotherapy, are two roles that many people often get confused with each other. There are many reasons for this, as the role of each often overlap with the other.
In this lecture I'll clearly define the differences between the role of a life coach, and the role of a psychotherapist.
There are a number of signs that you should be aware of, that'll indicate whether your client needs to see a professional therapist in addition to, or instead of you.
Covering The Basics
A quick round up of my first life coaching course (for all those students who haven't taken it)
I'll now cover the basic skills that every life coach should possess. These are neither hard to learn, or hard to put into practice. However, these skills take time to master and this comes down to experience and practice.
This lecture is taken from my other life coaching course – Online Life Coach Course Training
I have added it in this covering the basics section, because it's such an important lecture, which covers the 5 aspects associated with listening. If you have taken my previous life coaching course, you'll still be able to enjoy this lecture, as i've updated it and given it a new look and feel.
This lecture is also taken from my other life coaching course – Online Life Coach Course Training
I have added it in this covering the basics section, because it's such an important lecture, which covers an array of different groups of questions, that'll help you illicit information from your clients. If you have taken my previous life coaching course, you'll still be able to enjoy this lecture, as i've updated it and given it a new look and feel.
One of the most important skills a life coach can have, is the ability to see another person's perspective, especially if you don't personally agree with it.
The Clean Language Model - "Using Case Studies"
The Clean Language Model, is one of the fundamental tools of coaching. Clear communication between coach and client, is essential when it comes to the coaching relationship.
There are twelve clean language questions in total. Here we discuss the first two.
Using three case studies, we're now going to apply the first of our clean language questions, so you can see how well formulated they are, and how well they work.
Following on from the six developing questions in clean language, we have three sequence and source questions, and the final three questions known as intention questions. We'll put these into practice, staying with our case studies from the previous lecture.
Using The SMART Model - "Coaching Mary"
In this lecture, we're going to be applying the steps and principles of one of the most popular and effective life coaching models in existence today, the SMART Model.
Here, we're going to cover specific goal setting, the S in the SMART Model.
Using a case study as an example, I'll show you how important it is, to be specific, when it comes to setting goals.
Here, we're going to cover measurable goal setting, the M in the SMART Model.
Staying with our case study, we're now going to set some measurable goals for Mary.
The A in SMART stands for attainable, or achievable and refers to a goal, that in principle can be reached.
In this lecture, we're going to look at our case study, Mary, and see if her goals are achievable or not!
The R in SMART stands for relevant. This means that any goals that are set, need to be relevant and worthwhile to the client.
The final letter T in the acronym SMART, stands for timely or time bound, meaning that goals need to have some sort of deadline to them.
We're now going to evaluate our case study, Mary, and see if Mary's goals are framed correctly, in a time-bound manner.
Using The TGROW Model - "Coaching Jenna"
Now we're going to cover the TGROW Model, using another case study to demonstrate the principles of this model. The TGROW Model is an excellent system for goal directed areas, such as sports and business.
The T in TGROW stands for topic, and is a very important first step in the process. The topic phase is the first conversation you'll have with your client, and will give you an understanding of your clients needs.
Now using some example questions, that fall under our heading, topic, we're going to apply these questions to our case study, Jenna, in order to elicit the information we need.
The G in TGROW stands for goal. So we can now, in cooperation with the client, set specific goals, whilst remembering to stick to the SMART criteria.
Using the questions we've just covered in the previous lecture, we can now apply them to our case study, Jenna.
The R in the TGROW Model, stands for reality. This part of the process is about guiding your client through a reality check, in order to discover what it is, that's holding them back, or having a negative effect, preventing them achieving their overall goal.
Using the questions we've just covered in assessing reality, we can now apply them to our case study, Jenna.
The O in the TGROW Model, stands for options. This phase of TGROW is concerned with exploring the action plans, that are realised from this point onwards.
Let's now help Jenna come up with her own options, and we can counter any negative statements she may make, by using "what if" questions.
The W in TGROW stands for way forward. This is the final phase of TGROW. The client now has a set of specific goals, has identified hurdles and laid out options. Now, is the right time, for the client to commit to one of the options they've outlined, and follow an action plan to make that option a reality.
Let's now apply what we've learnt to Jenna's case.
Working For Yourself
It's never been as easy, to run your own life coaching business, as it is now, in this modern internet age.
Firstly we'll cover all the things that you don't need, in order to run your own life coaching business.
Now we're going to cover the things that you will need!
Where Do I Get Clients?
Any time and money you invest in marketing, must have the best chance of paying off, and in this lecture I'll show you how.
This is such an important thing to learn. How to market your services, to the outside World?
Content marketing is all about creating content, that people will actually want to either read, watch or listen to.
I'll teach you how to generate more revenue, than just from your coaching sessions. The more revenue streams you have, the more passive income you'll generate.
This is the business part of the coaching game, where you must make agreements before the coaching begins.
Discover how to avoid a very common mistake, that many people, new to business make. And that mistake is, to undervalue their own worth.
21st Century Coaching
This lecture is all about, how to coach clients, using the internet.
